From the very beginning, we wanted to work with the concept of time. After brainstorming different ideas, we decided to experiment with three different directions related to this concept: the first idea was to portray time through the growth of a plant, the second was to show the usage of objects at different times of a given space, and the third idea was to show time in a given space based on the change in light throughout the day.

There is a very interesting movie on the busy Langstrasse called ‘24 Stunden Langstrasse’ from 1971. It shows the street throughout 24 hours and the different things that are happening during the different hours of the day. We decided to use Langstrasse to map the changes of color throughout a day. To do this, we made scans every 3 hours within 24 hours of the street and also recorded Audio.
